Absence of Color

Taken at Silver Creek Metro Park - Ohio

Another experiment in black and white landscape, this is a wider view of another photo in the same spot. I liked the sharp contrast that's accomplished by the different hues in the trees and how they were affected by the violet black and white filter I used in Picasa.

This is all due to ^kkart for mentioning in his journal a few weeks back that black and white landscapes can be just as beautiful as full color ones when the circumstances are right!

Edit: Okay I got brave and Photoshopped out a couple of leaves that had crept into the frame that I couldn't crop out without cropping the tree on the right. It makes for a much better picture without that distraction.
