I think this is one of my favorite of your cheetah pictures.
I really enjoy the cheetah's expression, and especially the interesting detail provided by the cheetah's halfway extended claws.
Zoo shots are very hard to composition properly, since you are limited to where people are allowed, so this is also very good in that respect.
I do think that slightly more focus is actually centered around the branch the cheetah is on which should of course ideally be fully on the cheetah, and the cheetah's eyes appear grainy to me (something I can't quite explain, seeing as your ISO was perfectly alright, but it is what is)
Besides the small problem of the focus, I don't really see much you could have done better though. Great shot! :)

You know, even though I'm shooting animals that are moving, I've actually moved toward shooting with ISO 100 so I can reduce that graininess. With this cheetah exhibit we have some freedom with an open spot but the rest is chain-link so I just lean over reeeaaaaal far and shoot through one of the holes. =)

Thanks for this awesome feedback, I totally appreciate it!

Thanks! It required sneaking past the oddly stationed barricades to get them but cheetahs are my favorite so it was worth the slight risk of being discovered. =) I totally love going to zoos just to see the wild animals, they're so beautiful.

=D They had the viewing area barricaded for some reason that morning but it was really quiet and no one was around so I just sneaked around the barricades and took probably 100 pictures.

I always love when I can actually catch the gold of their eyes! When I took these the area was actually blocked off by a bunch of plastic barricades, but no one was around so I just climbed through and took a bunch of pictures. LOL
