Upper Falls, Old Man's Cave - Hocking Hills Park, Ohio
Going to Hocking Hills any time of the year can be a fun thing to do with family or friends, but I have to say that going when the colors are turning brilliant is not my most favorite of times to go. While getting this shot I had to wait for kids to stop skipping out to the high bit of land to the left, and there were a lot of people there getting their photos taken in front of the falls, often getting in my way for taking wider shots. That isn't to say that I didn't enjoy going there this time of year. The weather was perfect and very comfortable and the scenery was golden and breathtaking.
I am, however, looking forward to going down in the winter sometime when the snow is all over the trees and there is a lot of ice on the water. I may not feel the same way about the roads, but I do look forward to capturing these locations when it is far less populated.

Went camping there once while in high school. It snowed overnight a few inches. We also did a midnight hike with a full moon and with the snow on the ground it was quite beautiful. Even had moon shadows! I did not have a camera with me. Drat!
