Description

Taken at the Cleveland Botanical Gardens - Cleveland, OH

To get a photo of this zebra longwing butterfly, I had to do some fancy contorting and leaning to get it framed right as it was just out of easy reach to catch it full wing on like this.

Now...imagine a 5'2" woman hopping up to a wall ledge with a camera bag on her back that sticks out nearly an extra 18", leaning far enough that her leg has to stick out and provide her balance all while she tries not to breathe and take the butterfly out of focus. Oh and it was PACKED that day.

I was dangerous with that camera bag--but it was worth it. I still pick apart that there isn't enough sharpness and maybe needs a little more contrast but I still liked it overall and it was worth the comedy--I mean effort.

Lovely photo, and good story.:) I, too, have done some interesting contortions to get the shot I want. I never regret making a fool of myself, only regret not getting the picture I want. Fellow photographers understand, and everyone else is just amused!:D
