Dreamy Aspirations

This evening I went up to rent the Nikon 105mm Micro lens for a trip up to the Botanical Gardens Orchid Show this weekend. But of course I couldn't have this fabulous, stupendous lens without trying it out on anything I could!! I very much love this lens already so I'm sure I'll be shelling out the monies for it very soon. But the orchid show will be the true test.

I am extremely pleased to be submitting my very first true macro shot ever, though! This was just a drop of water on a peacock feather fan showered in some golden sparkles. I had two desktop lamps pointed at them at around 45 degrees to bring out a sparkle.

You may also notice a new watermark with my "Photo by T Leach". I wanted to find something that helped protect my photo a little bit more without getting too intrusive and this font seemed super simple for the job.
