Taken at Silver Creek MetroParks - Norton, OH
I've said that landscapes aren't my forte, which means that this photo represents Mother Nature doing her darnedest to get noticed and I was able to click the shutter at the right moment. I'm learning though!
It’s not often that I look at a picture of my own and say “holy smokes”, but today when I was getting ready for work, I glanced out the window and saw some brilliant colors on the horizon. So I sped through Silver Creek (Yes, I know, bad Taryn!) and went traipsing through dewy grass filled with goose poop to set down my tripod and get this shot. This was the first one I took and I loved how it turned out. This was the color of the sky at 6:30 this morning with only a VERY slight adjustment on the white balance. Nothing more. Five minutes later and the colors were subdued so I'm happy I hustled my butt out to the lake to get this!
A glorious start to what is a blah day for me—it makes me smile a little.
