Taken at Cleveland Botanical Garden - Cleveland, OH

In the Reflection Pond at the Botanical Garden, I was fortunate enough to be there to really enjoy the waterlilies. They had a wide array of colors and sizes and having a still, sunny day really allowed me to capture some beautiful shots that day. For this, I had to stand at the edge of the Reflection Pond and lean out slightly to get this so that it looks down on the lilies. I used a wider aperture to help the flowers stand out but not so wide that I lost all definition of the leaves--I liked their patterns and colors.

The purple lotus is considered the mystic lotus. The eight petals represent the Noble Eightfold Path and the flowers may also be depicted presented in a cup or on a tray, as a symbol of homage.

Thanks!! I pretty much said to myself: "I have to submit something to my gallery, spend time on me!"

It has been giving me a little balance as I work on my photos for sure. I have a new car (same exact car, same color, same options, just 4 years newer

), I'm back to getting photos and now I'm processing again which is always good!

I am not submiting till I get my editing glitch fixed.... I am wasting clicks.... I took almost 200 shots at the car show....and the few I DID post were dissapointing......

So till then. I will watch

ALMOST all covered, they gave me what I was expecting when they totalled my car and it let me get the new car for less than I paid before but I'm in the loan an extra 4 years. But the plus is that paying less for the new car means I can pay it off faster so it won't be nearly that long. And I planned on driving it 10 years so now I have another 10 for this one!

What editing glitch were you having?

SWEET! I mean ya dont wanta use this approach EVERYTIME you get a new vehicle...... but all in all worked out OK 4 ya)
Same trouble as always.... my images are blurry when they appear in PS to edit... I thought it may be my camera from when I dropped it down the stairs... I am sure that was no good but I donloaded some portraits kuz that is when it is mos noticed )people, animals, BEES!!) which is what I have been trying co get letely. Have you ever heard of a virus getting into PS kuz the Picasa is as good as ever. When it gets to PHOTOSHOP that it all goes south

Ooooh, you know I'd see about having Nikon taking a look at it. I mean, when you shoot in RAW it's going to look a little washed out and everything but it might SEEM blurry like that because it's not as heavily contrasted. In any event, you may want to take it either to a camera shop to check out or contact Nikon because something might have been jarred on the contacts where the lens and body meet up causing the AF sensor to be off. =/
