Red Queen's Cold Heart

While taking my Rose Red photo, I played with some snow on the petals of the flowers for a nice contrast. I have a similar photo taken last January but I have since learned many skills--and gained many tools--to help produce a much improved result.

This was done by simply flinging some snow into the rose, I stopped the exposure back to accommodate for any metering from the white snow and using a circular polarizer to help cut against any residual glare. I left the overall result cool because I personally much prefer a more blue-red tone to my roses than the warmer ones and it seemed a good compliment to the cool white of the snow.
