Smooth as Glass

Taken at the Bedford Reservation - Cuyahoga Valley National Park, Ohio

While heading up to Cleveland to do some preliminary photo scouting for a photo session, I decided to stop by the Bedford Reservation and see Bridal Veil Falls. What I hadn't expected was how much I would fall in love with this place. The stream was wide and lazy, it was brilliant and green and colorful--and that was only walking maybe a quarter mile of the area. So I know I want to return again very soon.

This was shot while standing in Tinker's Creek looking upstream to a small set of falls and I loved how the water was smooth as glass already, but continued to smooth out with a longer shutter speed.

I used my tripod and an ND8 filter, then kept the ISO low and the aperture cranked up to keep the shutter speed slow.
